Kristen Van Dyke holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Choral Concentration) from the University of Delaware and a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Immaculata University. For the last 15 years, Kristen has taught in a variety of school settings in addition to private teaching. Her instruments are voice, piano, guitar and ukulele. She also specializes is early childhood music classes.
In addition to music education, Kristen is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC). She has worked with children of all ages with varying diagnoses in private practice and in facilities such as pediatric hospitals, assisted living communities, and an adolescent eating disorder program.
Although a proud native of Delaware, Kristen now resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband and two children. Since becoming a mom, her passion for child development and the role that music can play has only increased. Her philosophy is that music can be accessible for EVERYONE and can be a powerful tool in many aspects of life.
